How Does the Program Work?

Recovery is attainable. Our treatment program uses an adolescent's strengths and personal assets utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Treatment Model. This model moves an individual towards sober living and a better life away from alcohol and drugs. Engaging family, friends, school and community is a cornerstone of program operation.

With an aim to provide holistic treatment, clients undergo chemical dependency, mental health, medical/dental, and nutritional screening. Participants will receive care and assistance from counselors, case workers, physicians, physical fitness instructors, spiritual healers and/or clergy, probation officers and dietitians.

Clients will complete four phases of treatment consistent with Medicine Wheel and the Cycle of Healing and Growth. Treatment groups include: Early Recovery, Motivation Enhancement Group, Relapse Prevention/Maintaining Change Group, Life Skills Group, and Wellness Group.

Length of treatment is based on a client's need and personal goals. Most clients will be engaged 24-40 weeks in the program. The hours of treatment are designed to work around a client's school schedule to ensure academic success.

Family Involvement

The Family Transition Circle provides a place for family members to examine and understand their perceptions and expectations of the recovery process and to create Family Recovery Plans that all family members can agree to. Family Education Groups are offered to all immediate and extended family members.
