Head Start Screenings and Exams

Twice a year, members of our dental staff, including a dentist, visit the Fond du Lac Head Start program to provide screenings and apply fluoride varnish to the students. The children are then seen at the dental clinic for full examinations and cleanings as well. Through this program, we strive to meet each family and child’s individual needs.

Children’s Dental Health Month

April is Children’s Dental Health Month. Each year in April, the dental staff hosts a program for the Fond du Lac Head Start children to raise awareness about the importance of good oral health and hygiene. We provide interactive participation in fun activities designed to teach good oral hygiene and help children learn to make positive choices that affect their dental health.

Fond du Lac Health Fair

Each year, the dental clinic hosts an informational station at the Fond du Lac Health Fair with a different focus or theme. Members of the FDL community can come here to ask any oral health related questions they may have. Visual aids and reference handouts are available for better understanding. We enjoy the interaction with the Fond du Lac community.

Fond du Lac Community Baby Shower

The Fond du Lac Baby Shower is an annual event with great activities and resources for new parents and soon-to-be parents. The dental staff hosts a booth with information for this audience and can answer questions related to dental care for pregnant women and infants.
