For nearly 50 years Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness has been a leading voice for the ongoing protection, preservation and restoration of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. On September 30, 2023, the Friends' held their annual Northwoods Gala, a community of advocates, explorers and wilderness lovers for an evening of celebration to support Friends’ mission to protect the Boundary Waters and connect people of all backgrounds to the wilderness.
