$5,000.00 Reward On April 20, 2008 Fond du Lac Reservation Chairwoman, Karen Diver, discovered a deer carcass lying in the approach to her driveway. Upon examining this carcass, a hand written note was discovered. This note contained a threat upon Karen’s life. The Police Department is considering this a Terroristic Threat and Act of Violence. The Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac Band Members, and the members of this and surrounding communities cannot and do not condone this behavior. Not only is this behavior seen as being criminal in nature, it also reflects negatively on our culture and us as a people and community. This childish act could be mistakenly construed as indicative of the behavior of Anishinabe people. Nothing could be farther from the truth nor do we want it to be perceived as such. THEREFORE a $5,000.00 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this act. Please call the Fond du Lac Police Department at 218-878-8040 to report any information you may have regarding this Terroristic Threat and Act of Violence.
