The Fond du Lac Reservation contains over 4,600 wetlands, which total
43,873 acres. That is an amount equal to over 68 square miles. With such a
large wetland resource on the reservation, it is important for these
wetlands to be preserved, protected, and in some cases restored to protect
the water quality on the reservation.
