Training Programs

The Training Department at Fond du Lac Tribal Center ensures that all departments and employees have access to resources to assist them in identifying and addressing their personal and professional needs. The FDL Training Department coordinates resources, develops and delivers training, makes referrals and recommendations that will promote the achievement of short and long term goals identified by departments by their needs assessments and by individuals in their career plans.

New Employee Orientation

New Employee Orientation will be held weekly Wednesdays, from 9 am - 2:30 pm in the Library Classroom. Human Resources will no longer set up appointments for paperwork. When new employees start, you will need to let them know about this training and to bring two forms of identification with them. All new employees will attend this training session for:

  • Completing employee paperwork (W-2, insurance, etc.)
  • History of Fond du Lac
  • Goal Setting
  • Familiarize with the Tribal Center
  • Sexual Harassment Awareness Training
  • Customer Service Training
  • Confidentiality Training

Ongoing Employee Training:

  • Confidentiality - What information are we each entrusted with as employees to protect?  What are the consequences of disclosing information, even if you didn’t know it was private?  Learn steps we each can take.

  • Customer Service - As representatives of Fond du Lac, how do we choose to interact and engage with external customers and within as co-workers?

  • Sexual Harassment - Identify offensive behaviors, what to do if you are being harassed, and together create a respectful workplace for everyone.

July 2008 Training Schedule

These three training sessions are mandatory for all Reservation and Construction employees annually.  Please make sure all staff know about upcoming training and are registered to attend.

Departments may also schedule training on-site or at particular times of year to accommodate staff schedules.

The training representative is gathering information from department directors, supervisors, and other employees regarding training needs and goals. Future training will be developed based on this information as well as recommendations from Human Resources and the Reservation Business Committee. To meet with the Training Representative to contribute training ideas, contact below:
