POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

SECURITY GUARD/DISPATCH

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the safety and security of personnel, patrons, facility, and other property belonging to the casino or its patrons.  Becomes familiar with every part of assigned areas and reports obstructions and other nuisances that endanger the safety of the public and casino employees.  Patrols assigned areas of the casino. Maintains security phone and radio communications and dispatches security personnel as assigned to key areas of the casino.  Prepares necessary reports relating to all incidents and submits reports to Security Floor Supervisor.  Prevents unauthorized admittance of alcoholic beverages on the premises of the casino.  Protects money areas and executive offices.  Performs first aid to assist vendors, patrons, and casino employees.  Properly identifies all employees entering money areas.  Provides money escort services.  Other duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged walking and standing is required.  Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work with the public is required.  Ability to communicate and supervise areas and groups of people and to act responsibly in an emergency situation is required. 

Training in emergency first aid is required.  Must be CPR certified.  Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, is required.

 

HOURS:            Shift Work.  Shift to be determined upon hire.
