This drum was made by Wayne Dupuis, Sr. He and
his son Wayne Jr. and Ed Jaakola, Jr.
hunted the moose together. It is made with the rawhide of the
moose
and a hollow pine log.
"We selected this drum
because it is very creative spiritual. They hollowed a section of a tree
trunk and bended it into a drum shape. Then they got the moose hide
and stretched the skin over it and removed the fur.
The height is 12½ inches and the width is
22½ inches. The object is 12 years old!! The tribe it is from is the
Ojibwa. The item was used to drum, usually at pow-wows."
