The mission of the Fond du Lac pharmacy and the Human Services Division is to elevate the health and social well-being of Indian people living in the service area through the provision of services, research, education, and employment opportunities.

Fond du Lac Pharmacy Goals

The Fond du Lac Pharmacy is an integral part of a comprehensive, community-based healthcare delivery system. Pharmacy services are patient-centered and are directed toward optimal patient outcomes, health promotion, and disease prevention. The principle purpose of pharmacy services is to assure efficacious, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy and appropriate outcomes in the use of drugs and medicines in the communities served.

Pharmacy services also require that pharmacists consider and respect the cultural beliefs of the community they serve. Pharmacists serve as role models for persons within the communities who may wish to pursue careers in the health field. Education and other programs to support rational drug therapy and appropriate use of drugs within the community are essential parts of pharmacy services.

Pharmacy services are fully integrated into the health care system. Therefore, pharmacists may be called upon to perform extended functions, such as primary patient care and program management.

A Message from the Pharmacy Coordinator

Since our mission and goals encompass multiple facets of public health, we continually train and educate ourselves in many ways to maintain our innovative practice. Our pharmacists and technicians are trained well beyond what is required by their normal licensure or certifications with the intent to provide better care to our patient population. Our staff has received awards locally, regionally, and even nationally, and the program has been highlighted as one of the innovative practices in the state of Minnesota. Although we are proud of our accomplishments and recognition, the sole purpose for additional training, education, and innovative style is for optimizing care to our patients.
