Diabetes Class Schedule


The Diabetes Team is offering education classes at CAIR. Participation in all 3 classes is encouraged. Incentives will be provided. Call Gloria at CAIR (726-1370) to schedule classes today.

Class 1

  • October 8th or November 12th from 8:30 am—12:00 pm
  • A-1-C, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar
  • What is Diabetes, My Food Plan, Exercise, Monitoring, and Goal Setting

Class 2

  • Friday, October 22nd from 8:30 am—11:00 am
  • A-1-C, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar
  • Complications of Diabetes, Grocery Shopping, Cooking, Eating Out, Health Habits, and Goal Setting

Class 3

  • Friday, October 8th or November 12th from 1:00 pm—2:30 pm
  • A-1-C, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar
  • Medications, Emotions, Depression Screen, Stress & Coping, Sick Day Care, and Goal Setting

WEIGHT WATCHERS® At Home Program

  • Join us at 12:00 or 4:45 at either location
  • Mondays: CAIR Community Room (please enter the 215 CAIR building)
  • Thursdays: MNAW McKnight Room (please enter McKnight at the East entrance across from the garage)
  • Eligible participants receive a Weight Watchers® At Home Kit that includes everything you need to follow the POINTS or Core Plans
  • Weekly Weigh-in, Support & Education

Lynne Kosmach Awarded
2004 Bemidji Area Nursing Award

Lynne Kosmach recently received the 2004 Bemidji Area Nursing Award for excellence in nursing. She was nominated for this award due to her contributions to the Fond du Lac community and to the profession of nursing. Her award stated that Lynne “possesses the qualities seen in the finest nurses: intelligence, compassion, intuition, and humility. She consistently shares her talents generously and capably.” Lynne joined FDL Human Services in 1998 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained certification as a diabetes educator in October 2001. She is a vital part of the FDL Diabetes Team and of the clinic staff.
