There are many things to learn about diabetes in order to live a healthy life. Our education program follows the curriculum set up by the American Diabetes Association. The program covers some of the following areas:

DIABETES EDUCATION IS OFFERED VIA INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS OR GROUP WORKSHOPS. INCENTIVES ARE GIVEN FOR COMPLETING THE PROGRAM AND ATTENDING WORKSHOPS.

  • Individual Appointments—We offer diabetes education appointments with a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Professional Educatorss at both Min No Aya Win and The Center for American Indian Resources. Completing the program usually involves 4-6 appointments. Yearly follow-up is recommended.
  • Group Workshops—Workshops on a variety of diabetes topics are offered at both Min No Aya Win and The Center for American Indian Resources.
