General Summary:
Assists the Marketing Department employees to ensure maximum effectiveness of the department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs purchasing functions such as prepare, track and monitor expenditures.
- Attends designated meetings to take minute notes and disburse to appropriate personnel.
- Sort and disburse internal and external mail.
- Keep inventory of office supplies; keep supplies stocked at all times.
- Assists Marketing Department in scheduling of bus tours and correspondence with bus tour operators.
- Completes all required paperwork and reports. Reports include, but are not limited to:
- Collects bus tour packages from accounting department.
- Collects completed bus reports from Guest Services Host/Hostess. Validates bus tour packages in Coat Check area.
- Delivers bus tour envelopes, booklets, and reports to Coat Check area.
- Audits "buy-in" tickets and reconciles amounts of used/unused tickets with total number of tickets issued.
- Distributes and logs various Table Games/Black Bear Grill tickets.
- Distributes and logs Bingo certificates donated to area businesses, charities, and other groups.
- Maintains filing and records both electronic and manual systems for department.
- Recognizes that activities, policies, and programs within the Casino are confidential and acts accordingly.
- Utilizes and operates office equipment to effect an expeditious completion of tasks assigned. This would include but is not limited to:
- Efficiently and effectively operating a typewriting with a minimum capability of forty (40) words per minutes.
- Efficiently and effectively operating a personal computer with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Efficiently and effectively operating a ten-key calculator.
- Appropriate work attire is required.
- Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
- Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains the capability to assume new and different job responsibilities as required by the Director of Marketing and/or Casino General Manager. These may or may not be temporary in nature.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is required.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to relate well with the public is required.
- Skill in illustrating or graphics is desired.
- Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
- Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
- Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations.
