October is around the corner and soon after that snow will be falling. I hope you get out and enjoy the weather. Please make sure your child is dressed properly for outside. Thank you for sending your child to school. Please try to ensure that your child attends school each day because our reading program has no way to make up missed work and if they are not here, they are not getting the needed information.

Reading:
Your child is improving on their reading ability. Have them show off what they have done in school this week. Please continue to do the 20 minutes of reading homework every night. It will really help your child succeed.

Math:
During math, we have been working on greater than and less than. We also have been working with three numbers to find least, between, and greatest.

Spelling:
Here are this weeks spelling words. Please practice at home for the test on Friday.

Science:
We have been learning about living and nonliving things.

Special Activities:
Friday, October 1, 2010 Half Day!!
We are collecting milk caps, box tops and soup labels to help pay for new playground equipment.
Please make sure your child is prepared for the weather.
Please remember to wash your hands to prevent the spread of the flu virus.
