Boozhoo Families, We usually like to begin our newsletters on a positive note, however, there are issues taking place that need to be addressed immediately. Please note: Our school is a bully free zone. With that said, we are having great problems with bullying in the 3rd grade. This needs to stop! Parents, we need your help. Please discuss with your child the negative effects of bullying and that it will not be tolerated at our school. Another issue that needs to be addressed is the attendance policy. Your child is expected to be at school unless they are ill, they have a family emergency, or they are participating in a cultural event. Finally, we are not receiving homework back from the majority of our students. Homework is the responsibility of each child and their family. If you do not return homework we will not continue to make it for you. It is a waste of time, paper, and ink. It is a courtesy and privilege that we provide you with additional materials to support your education. Your education is in your hands. Nobody can make you learn, we can only provide you with the materials to help you learn. Keep in mind that MCA’s are less than 2 months away. This is a critical year for your child. These records will be with them throughout their educational career. On a better note, Valentines Day is next week. Bring in your Valentines! Spread kind words and make someone’s day!
