We made it through the first week! You may notice that your child is very tired. This is normal because we do not have naptime in 1st grade and your child is busy each day. I encourage each child to try to go to bed by 8:00 each school night. The students are adjusting well to their new classroom, teachers, and schedule. Please remember to ask your child what he/she did in class daily. Thank you very much for purchasing your child’s school supplies. Most of the items will remain in the classroom. Your child can also bring gym shoes and keep them in the room. We will start spelling this week. All week we will practice them and Friday is the test. Spelling words are attached. There is a school pow-wow on Friday, Sept. 10th. More information on this to follow. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at school. I look forward to meeting everyone.
