We are very excited to continue our reading program called Success For All (SFA). Our staff was trained in implementing this program in August. Students are placed in various groups throughout the elementary grades. Your child completed a Scholastic Reading Inventory and has been place in a leveled reading group according to his/her score. Your child will be regularly assessed and based on the results, may be placed into another group. The SFA program also emphasizes cooperative group interaction.

Students will have 90 minutes of reading instruction during the school day. Students will have a Shared Story and a Read and Respond sheet that goes home and back to school for four days. Please complete the Read and Respond activity, sign and return it along with Shared Story each day. Students will be able to keep the story after the fourth day. Please plan for 20 minutes each evening for this reading homework.
