OJIBWE SCHOOL MISSION
STATEMENT
In order to survive both
as a people and a culture, we must return full circle to our traditional
manner of education. Traditional Anishinaabe society was outcome based
and results oriented. Our society was community focused, it was so in
order to survive.
BELIEF STATEMENT
The Fond du Lac
Reservation Ojibwe Schools
are dedicated to providing a quality
education, which focuses on integrating the American Indian culture into
all students' learning experiences. Every learner will have the
opportunity to be challenged, to succeed, and to be prepared for the
future. Parents, staff, community, and students will demonstrate the
highest level of expectations for themselves and the school.
Johnson O'Malley Conference
Due to economic conditions and the shortage of education funds, it
has become necessary to cancel this years 2009 Johnson O’Malley Title
VII Indian Education Conference scheduled May 21 - 22, 2009.
We regret to cancel this year’s conference, but as you all are well
aware, economic conditions leave us little choice. Should the economic
situation improve for 2010, we will look forward to hosting the
conference.
We want to thank everyone who dedicated time and energy in this
year’s planning, and those who had planned to attend this year’s
conference.
We wish you luck in the classrooms and thank you for all your good
work.
Should you have any questions relating to this action, please contact
