OJIBWE SCHOOL MISSION
STATEMENT
In order to survive both
as a people and a culture, we must return full circle to our traditional
manner of education. Traditional Anishinaabe society was outcome based
and results oriented. Our society was community focused, it was so in
order to survive.
BELIEF STATEMENT
The Fond du Lac
Reservation Ojibwe Schools
are dedicated to providing a quality
education, which focuses on integrating the American Indian culture into
all students' learning experiences. Every learner will have the
opportunity to be challenged, to succeed, and to be prepared for the
future. Parents, staff, community, and students will demonstrate the
highest level of expectations for themselves and the school.

students to take the MCA II's. The 3rd-8th grade students take the
Reading and Math assessments.
The 9th grades take a writing assessment. The 10th graders take the
Reading assessment. The 11th graders take the Math assessment. The 9th,
10th, and 11th grade students will need to score proficient or higher to

Awards
2007-08 3rd Quarter Honor Rolls
From the Principal...
We are into the 2nd week of the 4th quarter. The MCA II's will be
given beginning next week. Please make sure your child is in school
every day for the next two weeks. It makes it more difficult for the
students if they are not able to take the assessments with their
classmates. Doing well on these assessments are not only important for
your child, it is important to our school.
There will be no school on April 28th. Our annual school powwow will
be on May 8th with a feast at 5:00 p.m. and the Grand Entry at 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Thank you to the parents who came to conferences last week. We had an
excellent turnout.
The students who were in school 95% of the time or more or made the
honor roll will be attending a reward activity next week.
Congratulations, students and parents, on your hard work!
Remember all our students should be reading at least 20 minutes every
night!
