Say "Boozhoo" (Hello) to Alex

Alex is a wearing a Grass Dancer outfit.  On his head, he is wearing a headpiece or roach made of leather and deer tail hair.  

On his feet, he is wearing slip-on buckskin moccasins.  His outfit is made of navy fabric with orange, red, and blue yarn fringes.  The fringes represent the swaying of the grass.  

Many years ago, the Grass Dancers would dance in a field to flatten the grass for other dancers.  The Grass Dancers move in circles shifting weight from one foot to the other.  

They nod their heads quickly to the beat of the drum, and then stop with both feet on the ground.
